Skyera Adds Key Executives
Technology veterans help company position itself at forefront of enterprise solid-state storage industry
San Jose, Calif. – July 10, 2012 – Skyera Inc., founded by an executive and engineering team with unsurpassed backgrounds in the solid-state, storage and networking arenas, today announced the addition of two technology veterans to its executive team as the company ramps towards the launch of its innovative enterprise solid-state storage system.
Joining company founders Dr. Radoslav Danilak as CEO and Chief Architect Rodney Mullendore are Dr. Alessandro Fin, Vice President of Product Management and Roy DCruz, Vice President of Array Systems.
Fin has more than 10 years of experience in product management, technical support and business development for enterprise solid-state storage suppliers. Prior to Skyera, he was vice president of product development for PNY Technologies, one of the largest Flash and DRAM memory suppliers, and previously, Fin was director of solid state storage at SMART Modular Technologies, where he led the marketing team responsible for delivery of the company’s first enterprise solid-state drive product line and the roadmap definition for Flash storage products. Fin holds a doctorate degree and MS in Computer Science from the University of Verona, Italy.
DCruz, a 25-year veteran of the data center networking and storage solutions space, comes to Skyera from iTools where he was vice president of marketing and product management. Prior to iTools, DCruz was principle engineer at Brocade, contributing to the architecture of Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and storage services. His career also spans Nishan Systems as engineering director and primary architect developing the world’s first network-based storage virtualization solution, and in the role of lead virtualization architect at Andiamo and Cisco on the joint Cisco/EMC storage virtualization project. DCruz has an MS in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Technology, BHU, India.
