Mission Critical Solid State Storage

The Skyera skyEagle is a mission-critical enterprise solid-state storage system in 1U chassis with no conventional hard disk on-board. All the storage in the Skyera skyEagle is the Most Advanced NAND (MAN) Flash mounted on storage blades. It also contains any combination of Fibre Channel and Ethernet network ports for network connectivity and management ports for remote management.

Robust HA Capabilities

With dual active/active controllers, synchronous and asynchronous mirroring, and completely redundant hardware components, skyEagle offers fully hot-swappable capability with no single point of failure.

Skyera’s RAID-SE algorithm, designed specifically for solid-state applications, delivers “better than RAID-6” data protection with three times fewer writes, further extending the life the Flash storage. skyEagle offers enterprise organizations a mission-critical solid-state storage system that can finally replace hard disk drive-based storage in the datacenter through a ground-up, system-wide approach to the design, development and integration of all components—including the Flash controller, RAID controller, storage blades, communication bus and network interface.

While other Flash array vendors boast about multi-terabyte capacities in a full rack, Skyera puts up to 500 TB in a single 1u skyEagle array, or up to 21 Petabytes in a standard size rack. skyEagle’s on-board hardware-accelerated data compression and data de-duplication dramatically increase usable capacity well beyond the physical capacity.

Converged Storage Networking

skyEagle is the first all-Flash array to offer 16 interchangeable 16Gb Fibre Channel and 10Gb Ethernet ports that support a mix of Fibre Channel and iSCSI block-based SAN protocols. Alternatively, PCie cards can be substituted to provide up to 96 lanes of connectivity. Full support for NFS and CIFS protocols provides truly converged enterprise networking.
